Building stronger men and healthier relationships
for the common wealth.

The Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia recognizes that the strength of our community and the future of our city lies in the health of the family, especially the fathers.

When our men are better prepared, marriages and families and stronger. Studies tell us that by having fathers active in the life of their families, poverty & crime goes down while emotional wellness & educational success goes up.

As our name suggests, Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit purpose driven to strengthen men to be better husbands/co-parents and more active fathers for true systemic change in the Commonwealth.

For couples – starting out, in long-term relationships and marriages – we offer coaching and lead engaging programs to create awareness by providing the practical tools to pursue and sustain strong and fulfilling relationships.

For men, we equip new & experienced dads with the skills to be active, committed fathers for life. We provide all with the confidence and strength to thrive. Our vision is to become the trusted foundation for men in the state of Virginia.

By understanding the complexity and joys of fatherhood and relationships, we help everyone we serve be more successful, which makes our state a better place to live.

Chris Beach

A native Virginian, Chris spent the first part of his career teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. Inspired by his students, he coordinated fundraisers that helped shed light on the challenges they were facing. After several successful events, it led him out of the classroom and into the non-profit world. More than ten years later, Chris draws from his experiences as an educator, a father to four boys and a loving husband to lead the Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia.

Our approach to programs and outreach.

FFVA stands on four foundational pillars. These core elements guide how we communicate and act as an organization. They shape the way we teach our programs and develop men to be better for their families. Upon these pillars, we help build our community into one rooted soundly in relational wellness and stable families.

  • Purpose-driven

We take a holistic approach, knowing that by educating men and nurturing healthy relationships, we build a stronger community.

  • Proactive

Our approach focuses on building, strengthening and preparing individuals for healthy long-term relationships with their families.

  • Practical

We provide tools, education and experiences that are accessible, relatable, affordable and applicable to today’s modern world.

  • Playful

The nature of our work is engaging and fun, reflecting the idea that although being a father may take work, it is rewarding and a source of joy.
